I am new to sewing machines (being a knitter all my life) but went on a course sewing a tote bag and was hooked. I learnt on a Janome and was advised not to buy the most basic or the most complicated but somewhere in the middle. This seems to fit the bill and more. You can use the machine without the foot pedal and the automatic needle threader is a dream as my eyes are not quite what they were!....
It can do it all from thin to bulky. I read some bad reviews on it and I cant find any thing what so ever wrong with this machine.I am an experienced seamstress,having worked for 34 years sewing.I love all the features on it, especially the needle threader.For the price you cant beat it. Maybe someone that was a beginner and didnt take time to watch the video or read the book posted those reviews,but for me I love this machine......
