Quick Loading Bobbin
As well as top drop in bobbin with view through cover, this Singer now has a quick threading system. As you drop the bobbin into place, pull the thread into the bobbin case grove then follow the slanted grove, round the corner and pull,.. the thread will be sniped off. Your ready to sew.
Needle Stops in Up Position

6-Segment Feeding System

Box Feed
This is a feed dog motion that moves the feed dogs in a box motion, rather than the historic arc motion. Box motion assures perfect feeding throughout the entire feed process, as the feed dogs are always in perfect and equal contact with the fabric and presser foot.

Direct Drive

Overall rating Very happy with this machine,up to now ,though its only being tested on scrap material, and i havent actually sewn up anything .. having decided to upgrade from my old Jones sewing machine , this is a delight. . its sooo easy to use once set up , the only difference compared to the old Jones S/M is that I Found the foot tread a bit flimsy and of poor quality. but i can live with that as the sewing machine itself is realy nice and by the press of a button you have all the different designs of stitch to choose from . And the service from this company is very good , delivery is very fast , got mine next day and the price is great too... also came very proffesionally wrapped an with free scissors and a lovely sewing pack to start u off... i was overwhelmed as i had just seen it demonstrated in a local shop before i decided to purchase and it was £299.00 . so the price of homesewing definately gave me the plunge to buy as i wasnt going to bother as my old machine is still in working order. and the freebies was a bonus.. would definetly buy from this company again. Overall rating I love this machine. Mine is now 18 months old. I use it regularly for many applications. I would class my sewing as intermediate to advanced.
The stitch selection is ample for most hobbyist. Me being one.
The instructions were clear and consise. What more can you expect from Singer!
It is easy to thread and I dont use the automatic threader.
For the money - this really is great value. I would recommend this anytime.

Overall rating I am very happy with this machine, its so easy to use and the needle threader is brilliant, and I dont have to oil it a job I did not like with my old machine, it runs smoothly and quietly and sewed through three thicknesses of denim easily, another good feature is the button to do reverse sewing at the begining and end of the work, and the choice of stitches are great Im having fun experimenting with this machine I have many happy hours of sewing in front of me

Overall rating It is a great little machine that I would recommend to any novice or expert. I have waited for years to own my own rather than reluctantly borrow my mums! It has been worth the wait. I have played with the stitches and found the instruction book easy to follow, until I tried button holes. Still got that to achieve but with practice Im sure I will get there.
